Kim houdt van toneel, dans, dans, toneel, toneel, toneel en eh… dans! En van muziek in allerlei soorten en maten. Van alles wat verder nog onder het kopje cultuur valt, heeft ze minder kaas gegeten, maar ook daar wil ze graag meer van proeven.
Ze zoekt naar dat wat nergens en tegelijkertijd overal op slaat, naar (on)herkenbaar, naar mooi, grappig en bijzonder. In theaters, op festivals, in musea, bij tentoonstellingen en wie weet waar nog meer… Hier bij Checkuit.nl deelt ze met je wat ze vindt!
Doe eens even normaal!
Maar hoe dan? Wat is ‘de norm’ en wie voldoet daaraan? Leggen we de grens bij een rimpel, een depressie, bij iemand die weigert carrière te maken, bij een zichtbare prothese, het slikken van pillen die de intelligentie verhogen, bij ingrijpende lichaamscorrecties?
Met humor en confrontatie prikkelen kunstenaars in de Beurs van Berlage op allerlei manieren je zintuigen, gedachten en fantasie. Aan de hand van de thema's mens en technologie, consumptiedrift en perfectie worden zowel de zonnige als de donkere kanten van het (niet) normaal zijn belicht.
Niet Normaal: een veelzijdige en vooral buitengewone tentoonstelling.

Heel veelzijdig! Filmpjes, foto's, installaties, objecten uit het dagelijks leven die op een vervreemdende manier zijn weergegeven, voorproefjes op ideeën van de toekomst enzovoorts... Er zijn beelden die je aan het lachen maken en beelden die je aan het denken zetten. Leuk dat bepaalde delen van de tentoonstelling interactief zijn: het is niet alleen kijken, maar ook doen!

Als je niet het geduld hebt om het informatieboekje te lezen, is niet alles gelijk duidelijk. Maar dan zou je eventueel nog voor een rondleiding kunnen kiezen...
